PET Imaging Institute of South Florida is a medical imaging facility dedicated to PET scans only.
A PET scan is a specialty medical imaging study commonly performed to assess cancer conditions (diagnosis, staging, and restaging) as well as certain complex conditions of the brain and heart.
As you can see from the video below, we also don’t perform “PET” scans on animals, although we wish we could!
We do not perform other imaging studies such as MRI, ultrasound, mammography, or “CAT scans” (CT scans) when ordered alone.
