BCBS INFO

We understand how overwhelming cancer treatment can be, and we want you to know
that you are not alone in navigating your care. Although Memorial Cancer Institute and
Broward Health are currently out of network with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), the
PET Imaging Institute of South Florida remains an in-network provider for all BCBS
plans.
If you are an oncology patient receiving active treatment at either hospital and need a
PET scan, you have the right to request that your scan be performed at our facility. To
make this happen, please ask your Primary Care Provider’s office to send your referral
and/or authorization directly to the PET Imaging Institute of South Florida.
You may also call BCBS directly to ensure your authorization is honored. Since we are
in-network and fully authorized, your scan can be safely and seamlessly performed with
us.
If you encounter any challenges with your Primary Care Provider or BCBS, please don’t

Entendemos lo difícil que puede ser atravesar un tratamiento contra el cáncer, y
queremos que sepa que no está solo en este proceso. Aunque Memorial Cancer
Institute y Broward Health están actualmente fuera de la red de Blue Cross Blue Shield
(BCBS), el PET Imaging Institute of South Florida sigue siendo un proveedor dentro de
la red para todos los planes de BCBS.
Si usted es un paciente oncológico bajo tratamiento activo en cualquiera de estos
hospitales y necesita un PET scan, tiene derecho a solicitar que su estudio se realice
en nuestra institución. Para lograrlo, por favor pida a su médico de cabecera que envíe
su referencia y/o autorización directamente al PET Imaging Institute of South Florida.
También puede llamar directamente a BCBS para asegurar que su autorización sea
respetada. Como proveedor dentro de la red, podemos realizar su PET scan de manera
segura y sin interrupciones.
